IFA FINDS KICKBOXING AEROBICS INJURIES ON THE RISE
Orlando, FL (July 13, 1999) The International Fitness
Association. An online Fitness Center, IFA announced
today that kickboxing aerobics injuries are on a sharp
increase. IFA reports that with the steady rise in
Kickboxing Aerobics popularity, more people are
reporting knee joint pain in particular.
IFA studies have shown that the cause is due to high
impact related injuries. IFA president, Chuck Krautblatt,
says "Unlike other types of aerobic classes, kickboxing
is faster paced and incorporates more high impact moves
and many instructors are just not prepared for the
radical difference in teaching style."
Chuck Krautblatt goes on to say, "Kickboxing Aerobics is a
completely different concept. Martial arts instructors are
now trying to teach aerobics and aerobics instructors are
now trying to teach martial arts. Kickboxing Aerobics is
neither."
Chuck Krautblatt, President of IFA, is a certified Aerobics
Instructor and Personal Trainer teaching Step Aerobics and
Kickboxing Aerobics at the University of Central Florida in
Orlando. He is also the Executive Producer of "Chuck's Body
Shop" a TV pilot fitness show produced for the Chicago
television market.
