Tap and Combo Punch
  • Start Position:
    • Face front, feet a little wide than shoulder width, fists up at defense position in front of face.
  • Description:
    • Toe tapping side to side with alternating jabs, cross punches, upper cuts and overhead blocks.
  • Sequence:
    1. Left toe tap with left jab
    2. Return to start position
    3. Right toe tap with right jab
    4. Return to start position
    5. Left toe tap with left cross
    6. Return to start position
    7. Right toe tap with right cross
    8. Return to start position
    9. Left toe tap with left uppercut
    10. Return to start position
    11. Right toe tap with right uppercut
    12. Return to start position
    13. Left toe tap with left overhead block
    14. Return to start position
    15. Right toe tap with right overhead block
    16. Return to start position
  • Notes:
    • Keep knees soft, but not bent in the squat position to avoid knee strain.
    • Don't hyper-extend the elbows during punches.
    • Keep elbows close to the body for jabs and uppercuts.
    • Make sure overhead block is above the head with palms facing out and tight fisted.
    • The hand not doing the punching always comes to the ready position at the waist.
