Basic Footwork adding Karate punches

  • Start Position:

    • Fight Stance (Left or Right)
  • Description:

    • Excellent for begginner class even when warming up.
  • Sequence:

    1. 3 Step foward to 12 o'clock
    2. 3 Step backwards 6 o'clock
    3. 1 Step to left 45 degrees 10 o'clock and return
    4. 1 step to right 45 degrees 5 o'clock
    5. Jab with left and switch fighting stance
    6. Jab with right and switch fighting stance
    7. 8 Jumping Jacks end in karate horsestace
    8. 1-2-3 steping foward reverse punch and backwards 3-2-1
  • Notes:

    • If it is done after warm up add moves to increase intensity (pushups; squat and kick; speed punches raising knees; lunges; jumping jacks, etc.)after required number of reps or in between rounds.
