Description:
- The hook kick is applied from a fighting stance using the leg closest to the target.
Technique:
- From a fighting stance with right foot closest to target
- Shift weight to left leg
- Lean slightly left
- Bring right knee close to body and extend towards target in a hooking motion
- Strike with heel of foot
- Follow through by using the hamstring to move leg through target
Targets:
- Side of knee (back region of side knee)
- Back of knee
- Jawline
- Temple area of head
- Back, upper (acts as a push), lower (can cause pain)
- Abdomen (if beside opponent)
